I built this Covid tracker during the early days of lockdowns in NYC, as data about number of cases and deaths became available and the numbers were growing ominously. The goal was to be able to compare the case counts per state, side by side, for any subset of states, and normalize based on population sizes. The data source stopped updating after 1 year of data, but the project lives in an Observable notebook here:
